The softness of the colors and the fabric gives your man a softness.Throw a Billy Reid cardi over that, and bam, you got yourself a "walk in the park with roses in hand for my girl" look. For some reason, I think men should always cuff their jeans. Acne's max pure slim jeans above some bomb blue zara boots, Whoa! Love a man in a suede boot. Uniform Wares 100 series Classic Steel wrist watch finishes off the look with a simple, minimal touch of time. A man always needs a belt and Zara's classic belt is only $30 dollars! A deal indeed men, a deal indeed. And hey, if you like to match your wallet with your belt, Zara Saffiano Leather Purse is on Sale for 12.99. Its just the only way to go.

As I gazed upon stone after gem afterdiamond and after luxury, I thought for a moment, When is the statement necklace trend going to come to an end? Then I thought, now is not the time. Hectic Ethnic

This Springs all about the Ethics of Ethnic! Whether Afro-Tribal, Western Sexi, Hula-Waii Tropic Thuder, we are going back to our roots and embracing it! It's hard to point fingers at who did ethnic the best, (Donna Karen, Michael Kors and the Schouler boys) but we can all agree that this season fashion lovers are being immersed in culture! Whistles mustard colored shirt bring a vacational warmth. Paired with Preen's bonded twill neutral skirt, this light cremish greyish neutralish skirt tones down not only Whistles mustard shirt but also tones down Proenza Schouler's crazy beautiful necklace. It is literally the most drop dead amazing thing that I ever seen so maybe that means I havn't seen much, but I have seen this necklace and to balance the ethnic feel of Proenza's necklace, why not throw in some olive Proenza boots with it. To top that off, who said too much green is too much green? Mulberry's bag gives you the right amount of olive and the right amount of black and the right amount of ethnic genius to top off your Spring ethnic look.

Free at Last

After a semester of hard work, sleepless nights, and looking like a bag lady as I hurl around all my fashion supplies for school, winter vacation has arrived and that means relax time. Being a fashion student is not as glamorous as being a fashion designer (not that that's glamorous either). After working on a man's shirt step by step for almost a month, and working on my skirt which turned out really cute,( I would post up if it was copy writtened, but its not- sorry :) freedom has come!
Its almost impossible to look cute while hurling around fifty bags onto the subway, but since break time is here, and christmas is near, its time to set aside college life and look for something a less college comfortable and a lot more fashionable lady!

Even though school's out, the boyfriend jean is a comfort that cannot be passed by.  Junya Watanabe's Boyfriend jeans are well fitted and gives you a sense of freedom. Although its winter, leg room is needed and Junya gives you the best of both worlds: comfort and chic! Pair these loose jeans with a breezy Matthew Williamson printed silk-chiffon shirt. A summery look is exactly what a college student needs on her winter vacation. This shirt can take you back to a warmer time, a simpler time. Tuck that piece of sunshine into your boyrfrined jeans and top it off with a red Preen jacket. This sharp reddish-orange-ish jacket looks lovely against the soft print. Stella McCartney's faux patent leather moccasins adds comfort to the very feet thats been running around the campus like a majnoona (crazy girl). The feet needs a break and Stella's shoes are the right way to do it. Last but not least, Erikason Beamons karat gold necklace is a statement in itsself: Free at Last is want it screams and looks perfect with Alexander Mcqueen's embellished brass ring. It gives the look a stylish yet tough feel yelling, "Get out of the way, its winter break!

A Little Bit of Style Take 2

Here's me again acting as a net-a-porter stylist, smashing things together making bomb looks for the working lady. This look is perfect for the fall. Even though Proenza's pink shirt screams "spring baby," the neutral colors of the shoes and Lanvin's jacket as well as the various gold and burgandies creates a stylish fall  fashionable lady look. The cluckness of DanniJo's necklace paired with Assad Mounser's necklace(shown in styling session take 1) creates a more edgy look (and heavier weight) but still keeps a lady looking classy!

Abigail Lorick, the designer for designer label Lorick, is just as beautiful as the frocks that she creates.Everything about this look screams Working Women. The easy silhouette, the day to night dress, the jacket, (oh that jacket) is perfect for the office and a night out town. Lorick being the guess designer for Elenor Waldorf's fashion line on Gossip girl, I can so see Serena wearing this look!

The Birth of Directoire Renouveau

My name is VJ Thomas and I am very excited to start Directoire Renouveau, a blog that will consist of  even more art, more fashion, more style. Wanting to express my love for fashion by "internet styling" working women (meaning posting looks that I think will suit the working women and fashionable women who inspires me) such as: Shala Monroque and Queen Rania.
